Together for Education. Singing a Letter of Intent

The Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War is among the institutions that have signed a letter initiating activities aimed at cooperation within the scope of equalisation of educational opportunity.

The initiative is addressed to 10 thousand schoolchildren and students from primary and secondary schools in Opole Province. Its purpose is removal of educational disparities and development of key competences through adding to the educational offer additional classes taught by experts and practitioners. Those classes are to serve the development of personal educational potential, which is particularly important for students who, due to educational difficulties arising from COVID-19 constraints and personal, social, cultural or economic circumstances, are at risk of premature exclusion from the education system.

Together with Director of the Museum, Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, the letter was signed by representatives of: Provincial Police Headquarters in Opole, National Fiscal Administration, Tax Administration Chamber in Opole, Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Opole, Opole Branch of the National Bank of Poland, Opole Branch of the National Electoral Office, Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Opole, State Archive in Opole, the Opole Voivodeship Headquarters of Voluntary Labour Corps, the Statistical Office in Opole, the Faculties of Political Science and Social Communication and Economics of Opole University, the Museum of Opole Silesia, the Opole Branch of the State Fund for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, and the Silesian Institute.
