"Saved Memorabilia, Preserved Memory"action keeps going

The Museum's spectrum of interest includes all objects, documents, letters and photographs relating to the period of captivity in German and Soviet prisoner-of-war camps as well as  internment camps in neutral countries during the Second World War. Their state of preservation sometimes varies, which is why early conservation intervention and proper preservation of valuable artefacts is so important. Donors in return can be sure that the given memorabilia gain longevity and, as soon as possible, are scientifically processed and included in the Museum's popularisation and educational message. In addition, every gift is digitised and immortalised in a commemorative album – a present to express our gratitude for the trust placed in us.

Responsible for the collection is the Department of Collections and Conservation of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, 4 Muzealna St., 48-316 Łambinowice, tel./fax +48 77 434 34 75, e-mail: .
