Project ,,War, captivity and duels on words” has come to an end. In September and October, the Museum was supported by the Association of Friends of CMJW in implementation of it. In the partnership were also: the A. Mickiewicz High School in Kluczbork, Maria Skłodowska-Curie Public High School No. III with Bilingual Branches in Opole, J. Iwaszkiewicz High School No. I in Namysłów, St. Stanisław Kostka Catholic High School of the Association of Friends of Catholic Schools in Opole, and the Public Kindergarten in Łambinowice.

The course of this interesting event recorded was on a film.

One of the first activities in the project (14-17 September), involving  117 students of the partner schools, was visiting the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice, and attending workshops and lectures. Next (September 27), the school teams, together with their tutors, visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum and met with Wanda Traczyk-Stawska. Three days later, in the Municipal Public Library in Opole, the young people were coached in the rules of  Oxford debates. The students also conducted surveys in their hometowns. They used the acquired knowledge and skills during the debate tournament in the Senate Room of Opole University (October 8 – qualifiers, October 22 – the final). The winner was the Catholic High School SPSK in Opole, while the best debater was Maksymilian Kotek from the A. Mickiewicz High School in Kluczbork.

A group of 22 children from the Public Kindergarten in Łambinowice also participated in the project. They took part in a workshop conducted by Zuzanna Nierenberg entitled "I learn how to be a friend".

The project "War, captivity and duels on words" was co-financed from the programme "EDUKO - VERY YOUNG CULTURE 2019-2021 - OPOLSKIE".
