Project ,,War, captivity and duels on words” has started

Yesterday, the Museum and the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice were visited by the first participants of the project funded from the programme "EDUKO - VERY YOUNG CULTURE 2019-2021 - OPOLSKIE".

The group, which inaugurated the series of educational visits, were students from Adam Mickiewicz High School in Kluczbork. The young people participated in two very interesting workshops: "Children in the Warsaw Uprising" and "63 days and what next? Further fates of the Warsaw insurgents". This part of the classes was complemented by an educational film and a visit to the permanent exhibitions and the memorial site. By the end of the week, a similar programme will be conducted by students from other schools – partners of the project "War, captivity and duels on words", i.e.: Public High School No. 3 in Opole, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz High School No. 1 in Namysłów, and Catholic High School in Opole.

Let us remind you that the partner of the project of the Association of Friends of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War – besides our Museum – is also the Public Kindergarten in Łambinowice. We will keep you informed about subsequent stages of the undertaking whose aim is to hone effective and ethical communication, and one of the basic tools of it is the Oxford debate tournament.
