Premier of the 6th episode of ...but that’s a different story now 2

The state of affairs is the puzzling title of the 6th episode of the second season of the ...but that’s a different story now film series. Since 2021, there have been already broadcast, on every last Monday of each month, 18 episodes! This rich film material presents treasures from the Museum’s collections and fates of people related to them. The protagonist of today’s story is Captain Zdzisław Koziołkowski and his diary written down on pieces of paper.

There are 12 notebooks. The written down in them information documents the life of Polish soldiers who were interned in Romania and stayed in the German prisoners-of-war camps at Dorsten and Dössel. The notebooks could have been thrown away together with the old couch in which they were hidden, but... they were saved by Piotr Kosmala, a resident of Ostrów Wielkopolski, who, with the help of Tomasz Cieślak, an employee of the Institute of National Remembrance in Poznań, donated this priceless find to our Museum. In the film, we talk about the unusual circumstances of the discovery of the notebooks and about Captain Zdzisław Kozłowski who was a prisoners-of-war.

Our film series was prepared thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. It is produced, according to the concept of Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, by Sławomir Mielnik. The next episode will be released on July 25.
