Invitation to the Prayer of Peace concert
In just a few days, a unique event commemorating the 84th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War will take place at the St Mary Magdalene Church in Łambinowice. The organiser of the event is the Museum alongside the Institute of National Remembrance and the local Parish.
It combines the form of an organ music concert with the spoken word - recollections and accounts of the prisoners-of-war who were held in the Lamsdorf camps. The very name "Prayer of Peace" refers to the fact that on the day when one of the cruellest wars in history broke out, we want, with our silent thoughts, to hold up the idea of resolving contemporary conflicts without resorting to violence.
In the Łambinowice church on 1 September at 6 p.m., there will be awaiting you the instrumentalist Adam Tański with his vocal ensemble: Dorota Stefaniak, Justyna Jabłonowska, Maja Pałys, Agata Sierańska, Patryk Dopke, Filip Cieszyński and Szymon Chyliński, as well as the lector Leszek Zduń.
