Competition for the Jan Długosz Award has been decided

The 24th International Book Fair in Cracow is taking place from October 14th to 17th. As an independent event outside the expo, the annual Jan Długosz Award competition has been decided, in which our Museum was also successful.

The winner of this year's competition for the best book in the humanities (published in 2020) is Zbigniew Mentzel, awarded for Kołakowski. Czytanie świata [Kołakowski. Reading the World]. The publication is the first full biography of the eminent philosopher Leszek Kołakowski (1927-2009), whose works continue to inspire, including us, for example, during our work on the exhibition and the book In the Distorting Mirror. POWs in Wehrmacht camps.

We would like to use this opportunity to remind you that the publications of our Museum have also been appreciated in the Competition for the Jan Długosz Award.
