The beginning of the year is a good opportunity to remind about the initiated, seven years ago, collection appeal under the slogan Saved memorabilia, preserved memory – especially as the Museum has just got further thanks from donors who received albums prepared by us at the end of 2021.

We carry on with the collection of POW artefacts!

The purpose of the appeal is to save, preserve and make available artefacts related to prisoners-of-war in the German and the Soviet captivity during World War II. The Museum accepts objects used or made in captivity, documents, correspondence, drawings, photographs, clothing, etc. All donations, that will enrich the collection, will be secured and inventoried. Anyone interested in donating memorabilia is asked to contact us – all questions will be answered as soon as possible. After the objects have been digitised, the donors will receive albums with photos of the memorabilia, as well as their digital record.
