Anniversary of the Wannsee Conference

80 years ago, on 20 January 1942, a conference was held in the villa at Am Großen Wannsee 56-58 in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee, wherein the mass extermination of the Jews of Europe was planned. On the anniversary of this event, the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity and The House of Wannsee Conference have produced an interactive graphic showing the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question" designed by the Nazis.

The results of the work on the international project „Statistics and Catastrophe. Questioning Eichmann’s Numbers” can be seen on www.ghwk.de. There is an interactive infographic focusing on the sixth page of the 1942 conference minutes, where Adolf Eichmann gave the expected number of victims – more than 11 million European Jews.

The infographic is available in English, with Polish and German versions planned to be available in the near future.

On behalf of the European Network of Remembrance and Solidarity and The House of Wannsee Conference we also invite you to watch an interesting animation regarding this topic:
