
The XXX edition of the recitation competition is coming
Until 5 April, you can submit your application to participate in the thirtieth, jubilee, edition of the POWs Poetry Recitation Competition "Let us not lose memory". The finals, organised by the Museum and the Association of Friends of the CMJW, will be held in our Łambinowice seat on 14 April.
The competition is addressed to young people from the Opole Province. Each school or cultural institution can select reciters in three age categories. The aim of the undertaking is to shape civic attitudes by developing and deepening interest in the history of the 20th century, with particular emphasis on the question of prisoners-of-war subject. The competition also serves to awaken sensitivity to the suffering of victims of totalitarian systems and to cultivate the art of cultivate the spoken word.
Participants will be asked to present two poetical works written in Nazi or Stalinist camps, in particular on POW's subject, or contemporary poems on this theme.
