"Second Women's Week" at the Museum – invitation

Since 4 March many different events, mainly cultural,  scheduled for five consecutive days as part of this year's Women's Week, have been taking place in Opole. Our Museum is also among the institutions involved in organising these pro-women initiatives.

Works on the temporary exhibition "I love You, see you..." has come to an end and the exhibition will soon be open to the public. This is a good reason to combine the idea of "Women's Week" with the announcement of the exhibition, which is why we are organising a meeting on "How did the war emancipate women?". It is scheduled to commence at 11.00 a.m., on 8 March. The meeting is inspired by the fates of the wives, fiancés and girlfriends of prisoners-of-war who had to cope on their own with the extremely difficult reality of the occupation. Among other things, we will recall the voices of the daughters and granddaughters of the heroines of our museum's story of love in the time of captivity, show what their struggle to survive the war was like, and deliberate whether the effects of this forced emancipation were lasting.

We cordially invite you to the Opole seat of the Museum!
