
You can submit your entry for "Before it's not too late" competition
We are waiting for submissions of your entry forms for the 17th edition of the national competition for historical project entitled "Before it's not too late" until 21 March 2025. Then, by 30 May, the organisers - the Museum and the Association of Friends of the CMJW - will thoroughly evaluate the works and announce the results.
We would like to remind you that the competition is addressed to students and teachers of all types of schools and is open to historical projects on wars and armed conflicts of the 20th century. In fact this means that participants in the competition can, among other things:
- research the fate of soldiers, civilians and the impact of war on social and economic life;
- study the history of selected memorial sites, such as monuments, cemeteries, obelisks, wayside crosses, plaques and inscriptions;
- investigate not so well known stories - discover forgotten tales about people and places that has had a significant impact on Polish history.
The competition formula therefore allows the participants to pursue their research passions, deepen their knowledge of the past and share it with others, and contribute to preserving the memory of important events. Besides the satisfaction and cognitive benefits to gain, participation in the competition is also an opportunity to win attractive prizes.
To take part in the "Before it's not too late" competition you are required to:
- acquaint yourself with the rules and regulations in order to choose the correct theme of your work in accordance with the criteria laid down by the organisers;
- collect materials for your work (e.g. audio and video recordings, copies of source documents, photographs);
- prepare a work presenting the results of your research (e.g. multimedia presentation, film, article);
- complete the entry form.
The announcement of the results will take place on 30 May 2025. The date of the announcement may change due to circumstances beyond the control or the organisers.
