You are welcome to the Museum in the Night of Culture!
This year's edition of the Night of Culture, together with the Days of Opole (21-27 June), will take place on Friday. As part of the event, as many as 27 interesting places can be visited free of charge – one of them is the seat of our Museum at 3 Minorytów Street in Opole.
The offer of the CMJW has been prepared with families in mind, so it includes content that will interest both adults and the younger generation. Between 5 and 8 p.m. visitors can take a curatorial tour of the temporary exhibition Spring, Summer, WAR... Warsaw 1939 (prepared by the History Meeting House), which presents photographs by the American photojournalist Julien Bryan, the Polish conspirator Sylwester "Kris" Braun and the German correspondent Wilhelm Haase Lampe. For even longer, until midnight, visitors can watch the animated picture Marian’s War (produced by the Polish History Museum), based on the drawings of Koziołek Matołek [Matołek the Billy-Goat] by Marian Walentynowicz. Between 5 and 8 p.m. we have in store a quiz with prizes for the youngest (and not only!), and until midnight the exhibition can also be visited.
The Night of Culture is coordinated by the Opole City Office and its detailed schedule, including all institution involved, can be found at http://nockultury.opole.pl/program/.
All are invited to take part in it!
