Works of Andrzej Hamada on the Opole Market Square

Andrzej Hamada, an architect and admirer of Opole, who on 25 April 2019 was the guest of our series Faces of Opole, where, with characteristic for him fluency, spoke about his war experience in Cracow, has recently celebrated his 96th birthday. As he is a very characteristic and important person for the city – even awarded the title of Distinguished Citizen of the City of Opole – the Opole authorities and the Municipal Public Library, on 5 July, began presenting an exhibition dedicated to him at the Opole Market Square. The exhibition, entitled Opole is my passion, consists of the jubilarian's works which are accompanied by his comments. The drawings of the most characteristic buildings of the capital of the voivodeship will be on display until 25 July 2021. Last Friday, the Municipal Public Library also organized a meeting with the author of them.

The City authorities, moreover, have decided to make a film dedicated to Andrzej Hamada. Its premier is schedule for November 2021, and you can see shots from the film set here:
