‘We were here’ radio drama is available online

The work of the screenwriter and director Andrzej Celiński and the filmmaker, VidiFilm studio, was possible thanks to the project "Reverberations 1944. From Warsaw to Lamsdorf". It is a 50-minute long absorbing story about the fate of women and men from the Home Army who, after the fall of the Warsaw Uprising, found themselves in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf. The story is inspired by the recollections of Barbara "Wirta" Lewandowska.

For some time now, the Museum has been successively making other parts of the radio drama available on the Internet. After the Prologue, the time has come for Parts I and II, in which the insurgents leave behind the episode of their overnight stay in Ożarów near Warsaw and, after being brutally entrained, set off south, not knowing at the time what the destination of this transport was. When, after an exhausting journey, they finally leave the stuffy and cramped railway wagons, they are "welcomed" at the station by the sign "Lamsdorf" and harassment from Wehrmacht soldiers.

The prologue and the two episodes are available here. It is also available on Spotify, which is convenient as you can download the audio recording and listen to it at any time without having to connect to the Internet.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in the story, especially as the binaural recording puts you right in the middle of the action.
