The Museum and the Association in reading symposium

On Thursday, 15 April, was held the First Nationwide Reading Symposium Reading and Formation of Human Identity. The online event was organized by the Regional Collective Institution for Education Support, the Pedagogical Provincial Library in Opole, and the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Opole.

The Director of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, Dr. Violletta Rezler-Wasielewska, took part in it. The title of her speech was: "Who has a book is rich. The Role and Importance of Reading for Polish-Prisoners-of-War in German Captivity (1939-1945)".

Among lectures was also Dr. Iwona Konopnicka, the Chairperson of the Association of Friends of the CMJW, who, as a researcher at the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Opole, delivered a lecture on "Children's literary experiences in forming human identity" and conducted a workshop entitled "Read a lot, you will be great".
