The final of XXIX edition of the POWs Poetry Recitation Competition. The results announcement!

Today, April 1, at the seat of the Museum in Łambinowice, was hold the final of XXIX edition of the POWs Poetry Recitation Competition "Let's not lose our memory". Forty-three students from schools in Opole Province have applied for participation in it. The auditions were hold in three age categories.

The event was organized by the Museum and the Association of Friends of the CMJW in collaboration with Nysa County, and under the honorary patronage of The Voivode of Opole, Sławomir Kłosowski, the Marshall of Opole Voivodeship, Andrzej Buła, and the Opole Voivodeship Superintendent of Education, Michał Siek, while media patronage was held by: Radio Opole, Radio Doxa, "Nowa Trybuna Opolska" and "Nowiny Nyskie".

The reciters’ performances were evaluated by a Jury consisting of writers, actors, philologists and teachers associated with Opole Silesia: Edmund Borzemski, Leszek Malec, Beata Wnęk-Malec, Ludmiła Małgorzata Sobolewska, Monika Stanek, Bartosz Suwiński, Teodosia Świderska and Iwona Ratajczak.

To emphasize the high standard of the XXIX edition of the competition, the jury awarded following prizes.

10-12 years-old
First Prize – Magdalena Bawełkiewicz from Szkoła Podstawowa TAK in Opole, taught by Roksana Rał-Niemeczek;
Second Prize – Antonina Kita from Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa No. 5 z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi in Opole, taught by przez Adam Żołądź;
Third Prize – Jagoda Kowalczyk from Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa No. 3 in Ozimek, taught by Joanna Ciekalska;
Distniction – Jakub Romanowski from Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa in Łambinowice, taught by Joanna Begińska.

13–15 years-old
First Prize – Anastazja Podborowska from Szkoła Podstawowa TAK in Opole, taught by Izabela Zeman;
Second Prize – Emilia Jarosz from Szkoła Podstawowa in Łambinowice, taught by Ilona Karpińska;
Third Prize – Amelia Kita from Szkoła Podstawowa in Ozimek, taught by Marzena Wolicka-Mazurkiewicz;
Distinction – Anna Kowalczyk from Szkoła Podstawowa No. 3 in Ozimek, , taught by Marzena Wolicka-Mazurkiewicz.

16–19 years-old
First Prize – Maria Gawłowska from Diecezjalne Liceum Humanistyczne in Nysa, taught by Lidia Rogowska;
Second Prize – Aleksandra Sitnik from Liceum Ogólnokształcące z Oddziałami Dwujęzycznymi in Strzelce Opolskie, taught by Dorota Maćkula;
Third Prize – Aneta Wieszala from Zespół Szkół Ekonomicznych in Opole, taught by przez Edyta Kościelak;

Additionally, the jury made the decision to distinguish the following contestants:

10-12 years-old

13–15 years-old
Wiktoria Wietrzykowska;
Olga Bunkowska.

16–19 years-old
Wiktoria Lubczyńską;
Kamila Kałuża.

Also, the teachers who prepared the winners and those who were distinguished, received letters of gratitude and prizes. All participants received diplomas of participation and their tutors received certificates.
