The cartoonist from Stalag – the sixth episode of the series … but that's a different story now
This is already the half-way point of the presentation of the film series, prepared at the end of 2020, thanks to the "Culture Available" programme of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Six premieres are behind us, each of which, on the Museum's Facebook alone, has been viewed more than a thousand times.
Today's episode presents a story proving ,,that coincidence sometimes is an unpredictable necessity” as Krzysztof Świderski said in the film, who in 2016, as a part of journalist investigation by ,,Trybuna Opolska”, and in collaboration with the Museum, established successive facts related with the portraits of Polish POWs, and the fate of their author, Józef Partykiewicz (1914–2003), who was a prisoner-of-war, among others, in Stalag VI B Oberlangen.
