Summary of the Museum Open Days

At the last week (21-25 November) our Museum held Open Days. The offer prepared for this occasion was taken up by over 350 persons – children, teenagers, students and, of course, teachers from 11 educational institutions.

Among the youngest participants who visited the Opole seat of our Museum, the art workshops entitled "We travel with Wojtek the Bear" found to be the most popular. A little earlier, the elder participants of the event, including students of the Institute of History at Opole University, visited the exhibitions (a permanent one and a temporary one entitled "With their head around and no gun – post-war achievements of soldiers of the Home Army"), and also attended classes entitled "For Poland - at war and after the war".

Meanwhile, visitors to Łambinowice got familiar both with the permanent exhibitions and the site of remembrance where they could move around by bikes from the Museum bike rental station. Some groups of visitors also took advantage of educational workshops on the site of the open-air exhibition "Place with a Scar" at the former POW camp ground.
