Session of the Nysa District Council at Museum in Łambinowice

The 5th off-site session of the Nysa District Council took place on Friday (13 September) at the Museum in Łambinowice. Although it is customary for councillors to meet at the Nysa District Museum, the organisation of the meeting at the CMJW was very much appreciated by many participants.

Before the meeting proceeded, the members of the Powiat District Board, the District Starosty in Nysa, representatives of the authorities of the Łambinowice Commune as well as of the Museum laid flowers and lit candles at the monument to the insurgents owing to the approaching 80th anniversary of the arrival of the first transport of Warsaw insurgents in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf.

At 10 a.m. the councillors sat in the conference room of the CMJW. The 5th session of the Nysa District Council began with greetings and a presentation by Museum Director Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, in which she introduced the Museum and the Site of Remembrance in Łambinowice. The session was concluded with showing of the film Lamsdorf/Lambinowice. Museum and Site of Remembrance. The meeting was broadcast on the Internet.
