Report on exhibition opening

From today until 31 December 2021, the temporary exhibition Obcy hajmat? Śląsk w 1945 roku i w latach powojennych[Alien Hajmat? Silesia in 1945 and the Post-War Years] can be visited at the Opole seat of the Museum. During the online opening, Dr. Renata Kobylarz-Buła, deputy director of the CMJW, spoke with Lucjan Dzumla, director general of the House of Polish-German Cooperation – the institution involved in the preparation of the exhibition.

You are welcome to watch the video recording of this conversation. You can learn not only about the makers and circumstances of creating the exhibition, but also about the problems its authors had to face. Whether and what they ultimately managed to do, you will be able to judge for yourself by visiting the exhibition.

The subject of the exhibition refers to is very complex. It is also reflected in the history of the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice. After the war, in the neighbourhood of the former Wehrmacht prisoner-of-war camps in Lamsdorf, existed a labour camp in Łambinowice. We do not forget about this fact either.

You are invited to watch the film and visit the exhibition.
