Renovation of the former guardhouse
Reconstruction of the rooms of the former Wehrmacht guardhouse in Łambinowice is underway. The task is financed from the budget of the Opole Voivodeship and the work is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2023.
The building has been already fumigated and undergoes further treatments that will assure its long-term usefulness for the Museum. Besides, its functionality will be extended to include solutions for people with diverse needs.
We would like to inform the visitors that the undertaking this renovation has forced the already postponed decision to dismantle the “After the War. The Labour Camp in Łambinowice (1945-1946)” exhibition which was housed in the building.
Those of you who are interested to learn about the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice are encourage to visit the "Place with a Scar", an open-air exhibition, as well as take a guided tour of the place. The educational activity of the Museum remains unchanged.
