Public presentation of virtual tour application

On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, during this year's first edition of the Łambinowice Museum Meetings, a new tool for virtual tour of the Museum and the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice, was publicly presented – the result of several months of work by our team and the Vavatech company.

The meeting was opened by Dr. Renata Kobylarz-Buła, deputy director of the Museum, and was led by Iwona Cichoń from the Archive Department of the CMJW who described the advantages of visiting the post camp areas, the war cemeteries, the Museum and some remnants of the Lamsdrof military training ground, via  https://panorama.cmjw.pl/ website. The speaker presented a list of 50 virtual stops on an internet map, and demonstrated how to use the various features of the software, such a descriptions of  places, photo galleries, video files and 360 º panoramic views. Also, she explained how, thanks to the tool supported additionally by a free-of-charge app for mobile devices (to download from the Play store), you can plan an optimal sightseeing route. The meeting ended with a quiz (also part of the virtual tour). Participants also received commemorative vouchers, entitling them to visit the memorial site by, the recently purchased by Museum, Melex.
