The Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice is also a source of inspiration for artists. It attracts the attention of writers, painters and photographers who come here and record their impressions in their works. They are often presented in the Museum's publications, exhibitions and electronic media.

One of those artists is Sławoj Dubiel, who has been collaborating with the CMJW for many years. With his unflagging enthusiasm and, above all, excellent photographic skills, he brings historical details in, out of the symbolic, peaceful and quiet space of the Site, in his original and very characteristic for him way. In his photographic images he subtly combines a strong social message with minimalism, constantly stimulating reflection and multiple interpretations.

We are therefore pleased to inform you that the photographs of the POW relics which underwent conservation works at the end of last year at the site of Stalag 318/VIII F (344) Lamsdorf, by Sławoj Dubiel, can be admired under the ambiguous title "Test for Presence" in the Spring Salon of the Opole Contemporary Art Gallery.
