Open Days in the Museum. Invitation

Every year in November, mainly having primary and secondary school groups in mind, the Museum prepares a special educational offer as part of 'Open Days'. This time the proposal is largely related to archaeology at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice.

The chief idea behind the Open Days is to provide the people an opportunity to a free guided visit, and the goal is the presentation of the Museum's interesting educational offer.

This time schoolchildren and young people are invited both to the Opole seat of the Museum and Łambinowice from 27 November to 1 December 2023. What's on: in Opole, a visit to the temporary exhibition "The last resident of the Lubomirski Palace. General Mieczysław Smorawiński', which will be accompanied by workshops entitled 'Letters from the Past' and 'Roads to Independence', while in the Łambinowice premises - classes consisting in a joint search for traces of the past, reading the landscape and finding answers to questions such as why archaeologists need a drone, total station theodolite and a spade, as well as finding out what happens to objects found during excavations.
