Online conference with participation of Museum employee
Yesterday, 22 May, Director of The Museum, Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, attended commemorations marking the 100th anniversary of the Third Silesian Uprising. They were held in the front of the Monument to the Insurgent Deed on Saint Anne Mountain under the motto "Stairs to Freedom". The organizers were Marshal of Opole Province, Andrzej Buła, Starost of Strzeleckie County, Józef Swaczyna, and the Mayor of Leśnica, Łukasz Jastrzembski.
The programme of the ceremony included the singing of the national anthem, a prayer, speeches made by state and local officials, the presentation of the Commemorative Medal "100th Anniversary of the Third Silesian Uprising" and a commemorative coin, an appeal of remembrance, a gun salute, and the laying of flowers.
Among those who were honoured with the commemorative medal is the Museum Director, Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska.
