Night of Culture is behind us now

On Friday evening, 25 June, as part of the Night of Culture, Opole residents and the region inhabitants avidly visited the Opole site of the Museum. From the very beginning (5 p.m.), great interest was shown in the screening of the film Marian’s WarAn animated Story of Marian Walentowicz (produced by the Polish History Museum). At first, the film was screened inside the building, and when dusk fell, in the courtyard. It was worth to watch the film with attention and later to take part in a quiz to win a prize. And many did.

The visitors were also impressed by the temporary exhibition Spring, Summer, WAR... Warsaw 1939 prepared by the History Meeting House. Due to great interest, the curatorial tour of this exhibition was prolonged. Those who have not managed to see it can still do so – the exhibition will be presented until 10 September. With equal interest was met the permanent exhibition The Site of National Remembrance at Łambinowice – Regional, National and European Heritage. There are still many people in Opole who have not seen it yet.

The Night of Culture event was coordinated by the Opole City Office.
