The Honorary Convent of our ‘League of POW Remembrance’ Network has been established
We would like to inform you that on 21 June 2023 was established the Honorary Convent of our League. It supports the Network in its activities orientated to disseminate knowledge about the history of POW memorials in Poland (and Europe) and the fate of people who were interned there during World War II, particularly by expressing its opinions on the matters summited by the Council to the Network, participation in the Network’s events, and promotion of it.
The Convent is composed of: Andrzej Pilecki, Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, MPs: Violetta Porowska, Rajmund Miller (member of the Museum Board at the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War), and Dr. Marcin Komosa (deputy director of the Department of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture and Cultural Heritage).
The Convent is elected for a 3-year term.
