Inaugural activity of the League
Today, 1 August, the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War in association with the ''Memory, Education, Culture – Stalag VIII A'' Foundation, and Meetingpoint Memory Messiaen E.V association organised workshops for the young people taking part in the international project 'Worcation'. Museum’s Dr. Kamil Weber and Monika Sobczak led the workshop.
The event is the first activity conducted within the framework the ‘League of POW Remembrance’ Network. It is part of the 'Independence' programme in which the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War participates.
The workshops were entitled 'Freedom is in them - Warsaw Insurgents 1944-2022'. Their date is not coincidental. They were organised on the 78th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising.
