New film about the history of Lamsdorf

In the course of the last decade the social media have become a natural place of popularization of knowledge and attracting the interest of potential audiences for cultural institutions, which is why the Museum is also successively enhancing its online sphere of influence.

The most recent example is a 22-minute moving picture entitled "Place with a Scar", made by Łukasz Kazek’s film crew, who is a respected populariser of 20th century history. Our Museum appears in the film as the official patron of the episode available from 21 November on the YouTube channel "Łukasz Kazek History Story".

The engagingly edited material is the result of two visits by the film crew to the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice. Its value is further enhanced by the use of rich source material - archival photographs, scholarly articles and accounts of prisoners-of-war handed over to the filmmakers by the coordinator of the project on behalf of the Museum, Dr. Kamil Weber of the Research Department.
