Museum Open Days. You are welcome to attend them!

In the coming week (23-26 November), the Museum is organising its Open Days. They will be held under the slogan: "Football versus rifle. We give a red card to aggression and violence” - for physical activity was an essential part of camp life. In the 2021 Olympic year, in which the Tokyo Olympic Games took place, it cannot be any different!

The Open Days include free visits to the exhibitions in Łambinowice (including the site of remembrance) and Opole, combined with a lesson (lasting about 45 minutes) on the sporting activities of prisoners-o- war held in camps run by the Wehrmacht. Among other things, participants will be able to learn a great deal about sports competitions in the 1940 and 1944 Olympic years, held during World War II, and the power of sports activity.

The workshops can also be conducted online, using the MS Teams platform, or outside the Museum, e.g. at schools.
