Museum is closed for visitors until further notice

Due to spread of the coronavirus SARS-COV-2 a decision have been taken to significantly reduce functioning of cultural and educational institutions in Poland. In accordance with the decision made by Mr. Piotr Glinski, deputy prime minister and minister of culture, all museums, including ours, will be closed to the public from March 12. There is also a ban on entering the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience encountered by guests interested in visiting the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War in both of its seats: in Łambinowice and Opole, as well as the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice, but the health and safety of visitors are now the highest priority for us. The ban will be in place until further notice.

We ask for your understanding of this situation and follow further decisions taken by the  state and local authorities, on the Museum's website and Facebook. At the same time, we would like to inform that all departments of the Museum are continuing their work. You can contact us via email: .
