Methodology seminar in Sobibór
The Majdanek State Museum is organising a methodology seminar From the memory of place to the pedagogy of remembrance. Holocaust as a topic and context for museum education. The event is attended by Anna Wickiewicz, head of the Department of Education and Exhibitions of the CMJW (10-13 May in Sobibór).
The seminar, organised as part of the 80th anniversary of establishment of the Sobibór extermination camp, offers its participants a number of interesting activities. The programme includes, among others: visiting the site of the former death camp and a guided tour of the permanent exhibition of the Museum and the Memorial Site in Sobibór, multimedia presentations, group workshops and discussions.
The organisers also prepared an event entitled Discovering the heritage, which consisted in visiting Glinki Lake, Orchówka, the Museum of the Synagogue Complex in Włodawa and Adampol.
