Meeting with Tadeusz Jacek Rogoża. Invitation!

The guest of the May episode of the Faces of Opole series will be Tadeusz Jacek Rogoża – an educator, social activist, sightseer and guide, who has been for years engaged in popularising the Site National Remembrance in Łambinowice. The meeting with him will take place on May 26 (Thursday) at 4.30 p.m., at the site of the Museum in Opole.

The most important part of the event will be a conversation hosted by Mariusz Majeran, a journalist of Radio Opole. There will certainly be plenty of topics, because Tadeusz Jacek Rogoża started his work for the people of Opole in 1959, when he joined the Polish Tourist Sightseeing Society, wherein he has been active to this today. Moreover, he participated in the foundation of the Poznaj Swój Kraj association - he was the president of its Opole branch, which became independent in 2011 under the name of the Polish Tourist Association. He was involved in the work of other organisations (national and regional) and consultation groups. He was the head of a guide group and an organiser of guide courses, an initiator of numerous cultural series (among others the Travellers' Salon). At the request of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, the local authorities of the voivodeship awarded him in 2015 in the ‘Opole Voivodeship’ Social Activist of the Year" competition.

It will be an interesting meeting. You are welcome to attend it!
