Marshal Award for the Museum

Our institution has been honoured with the Award of the Marshal of the Opole Voivodeship for the Museum Event of the Year 2019 in category of ,,Educational initiative”. The project Independence regained and lost. 1918/1939/1945/1989. The cornerstones of family memory fund praise of the jury. It was a joint initiative of the Association of Friends of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, Radio Opole, Łambinowice Community Office, Public Primary School in Łambinowice and, most of all, our Museum. 

The idea of the project was accomplished as a series of classes and workshops, among them history, sociology and journalist ones, in which attended as many as  500 schoolchildren who could learn how to reconstruct family histories, also from the war period. As a result of the interviews, conducted later by the project participants, was a reportage broadcast on  Radio Opole S.A, on  November 11, 2019.

The project was co-financed from the Multiannual Program THE INDEPENDENT for 2017-2022  as part of the Grant Program "Coalitions for the Independent”.
