Ludwik Uryga has died
On Wednesday (28 April), at the cemetery in Wierzbie, was buried Dr. Ludwik Uryga, historian, employee of the Museum in the years 1966-1083, author of publications on the Lamsdorf/Łambinowice camps.
In the whole course of his employment in the Museum, Ludwik Uryga worked in the Research Department, where he was promoted from the rank of junior assistant to curator. During this period, he prepared the book Lamsdorf. Geneza i anatomia zbrodni [Lamsdorf. Genesis and anatomy of the crime] (Opole 1982), and articles, published mainly in the "Łambinowice Museum Yearbook", mainly on the camp buildings of the Stalags from the Second World War.
