Let’s commemorate together the memory of Warsaw insurgents

The 79th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising is approaching. We have already become accustomed to the fact that on 1 August at five o’clock in the evening, we pay tribute to the insurgents by symbolically pausing for a moment of reflection, but we would like to invite everyone who has the opportunity to do so on that day to lay flowers - even before noon - at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice.

As workers of a museum that preserves the memory of captured soldiers, including the men and women who fought in the Warsaw Uprising, together with you, we would like to lay flowers and light candles at the place where, starting from 6 October 1944, the insurgents were held - those who had managed to survive the 63 days of fighting, but for whom hardships of the last months of German captivity were still ahead.

Let us meet at 11.00 a.m. in front of the Monument to the Warsaw Insurgents - POWs of Stalag 344 Lamsdorf.
