‘It's not over yet...’ exhibition is hosted in Leszno

Our open-air exhibition, ‘It's not over yet. Soldiers of September 1939 in the Wehrmacht and NKVD captivity (1939-1945)’, will be on view until 4 April in the District Museum in Leszno.

The exhibition, made up of 12 attractively designed boards, is featuring the fate of the Polish soldiers who took part in the defensive war of 1939 and were taken prisoner as a result of these actions – falling into captivity of two totalitarian systems. And it is precisely the differences in the treatment of POWs by the Wehrmacht and the NKVD this exhibition well illustrates, which greatly increases its popularising value. At the moment its educational potential can be used by the inhabitants of the city of Leszno, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, where it is displayed in a central location. The exhibition is on view from 31 January to 4 April 2025.
