Invitation to the Łambinowice Museum Meetings (on 28 June)

The subject of the meeting will be the results of the first year of the project entitled "Science for Society, Society for Science at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice". The project manager is Dr. Dawid Kobiałka, and this is he who will deliver a lecture entitled "Camp archaeology at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice. A report on the work in 2022".

University of Łódź based Dr. Dawid Kobiałka has his scientific interests in a particular sub-discipline, better known under the name ‘contemporary past’. Generally speaking, it is focused on the recent past, including the Second World War. Within this time horizon, the Łódź archaeologist focuses on the search for and study of physical traces of war crimes and on the so-called camp archaeology.

You will find out about the practical effects of such profiled archaeology at the memorial site in Łambinowice during the next "Łambinowice Museum Meetings" at 5 p.m. on 28 June. It is part of this year's edition of the aforementioned project, which we have entitled "Holidays with Archaeology. Season 2".

You are cordially invited!
