Invitation to the Faces of Opole and the meeting with Ryszard Czerwiński!

Ryszard Czerwiński will be the guest of this year's first meeting of the Faces of Opole series. The meeting, during which participants will get to known of many interesting facts about the life of the founder of one of the symbols of Opole, Grabówka pancake restaurant, including these that are associated with the subject of POWs, will take place on 28 April at 5 p.m., in the Museum building at 3 Minorytów St.

Many themes will be raised at the discussion, which will be chaired by  Dr. Piotr Stanek, head of the Research Department. After all, Ryszard Czerwiński is a very active person.  The best testimony to that is his activity in numerous organisations, including the Association of Friends of the Central Museum of  Prisoners-of-War. The participants, for sure, will be interested to hear  about Mr. Ryszard's life, his journey from the Borderlands (Kresy) to Opole,  and most of all, the story of Grabówka and the site where it is placed  on, where the building of the Opole Regierungsbezirk  (Governmental District of Opole) once stood.

To the meeting entitled ‘Our Gabówka’ you are invited by Dr. Iwona Konopnicka, President of the Association of the CMJW, and Dr. Violetta  Rezler-Wasielewska, director of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.
