Invitation to outdoor challenges in the remembrance site

The next instalment of the "Łambinowice Museum Meetings" series will take place on Wednesday, 14 September 2022. All of you who are interested to attend it are asked to register in advance and be in front of the Museum building at 4 p.m. The meeting, entitled From Here to the Past. Outdoor challenges in the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice, is organised within the framework of the 30th edition of the European Heritage Day – "Connected by heritage".

The course of the outdoor challenge is planned in a way that all participants, who are connected by curiosity and a willingness to discover the history of our remembrance site, would be engaged. The plot is built around the difficult past of the Łambinowice camp. Everyone, who is interested in our proposition, will be divided into two teams, which will cover on foot along an approx. 1.5 km route (from the Museum to the former military training ground), stumbling upon interesting tasks.

Please note that the number of places is limited! Applications are accepted until 13 September via e-mail: or by phone: 77 434 34 75.

You are invited to the event by the head of the Field Branch of the National Heritage Institute in Opole, Dr. Joanna Banik; the president of the CMJW Association, Dr. Iwona Konopnicka; and the director of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska.
