Invitation to exhibition opening

This Wednesday, 27 October, at 6 p.m., will take place an opening of the temporary exhibition Obcy hajmat? Śląsk w 1945 roku i w latach powojennych [Alien Hajmat? Silesia in 1945 and the Post-War Years]. You will be able to follow the event online on the Museum's Facebook and YouTube channels.

The exhibition was prepared by the House of Polish-German Cooperation in collaboration with the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior and the Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Opole. The exhibition is mainly dedicated to the tragic events in Silesia between 1945 and 1950, which were marked by violence, death, looting, deportations into the heartland of the USSR, and later, staying in various camps and displacements. The exhibition also takes into account the earlier period, as well as events of the following decades, after 1950.

The announced opening of the online exhibition at the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War will be held within the framework of the 18th edition of Days of German Culture in Opole Silesia.

The exhibition (available in two languages) will be open to visitors until 31 December at the Opole seat of the Museum at 3 Minorytów Street.

You are welcome to see it!
