Invitation to a meeting with Fr. Bronisław Dołhan

The guest of the next edition of the 'Łambinowice Museum Meetings' will be the long-standing parish priest of the villages of Bielice and Malerzowice Wielkie, whose activities often went beyond pastoral ministry. The meeting, scheduled for 9 November, is sure to be of interest not only to the inhabitants of the above-mentioned villages, but also to many other researchers of local history.

It sometimes happens that people who are passionate about local history, who research and chronicle it, are those who are deeply involved in the life of the community and who leave their mark on its history. Father Bronisław Dołhan is undoubtedly such a person. During his more than forty years of ministry, he became known as an efficient and energetic organiser. What is more important, after his retirement, he began documenting and popularising local history, which was close to both those whose families came to Silesia after the Second World War (like himself) and those who, as a result, had to leave this land forever. The result of his work is four books.

To the meeting entitled 'Bielice - my second home' you are invited by Dr. Iwona Konopnicka, President of the Association of Friends of the CMJW, and Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, Director of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War. It will start at 5 p.m. at the Łambinowice seat of the Museum.
