In memory of the "Cursed Soldiers"
The National Day of Remembrance of the "Cursed Soldiers", dedicated to the warriors of the Polish post-war independence and anti-communist underground, since 2011 has traditionally been celebrated on March 1. Due to the epidemic, nationwide events related to the commemoration of the heroes, have taken on an online format.
On this day, our Museum recalls one of the best known representative of this community – Cavalry Captain Witold Pilecki, whose wartime biography also includes a period of captivity in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf, where he got after the fall of the Warsaw Uprising, and Oflag VII A Murnau. We invite you to the Museum's YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/hptjZFu25Lw opens in a new tab) to listen to the lecture of Dr. Piotr Stanek on this topic.
Another offer, Rotmistrz Witold Pilecki, this time addressed primarily to students of all types of schools, is a lesson given on Microsoft Teams, for which booking is taken by phone or e-mail: tel. 77 43 43 475 (Monday-Friday, 9.00 a.m.-3.00 p.m.), m.sobczak@cmjw.pl.
