Anders’s Artists is on display until the end of August

These are the final weeks of the Opole’s presentation of Anders’s Artists – we will bid farewell to the exposition on 31 August. It is the result of the work of by the Educational Projects Association and is based on interesting texts and reprints of works by Polish artists.

The exhibition makes the public aware of how active Polish artists were in the field of art at the hard time of the war and soon after it. As its authors write themselves: ‘Their march across almost the entire world arouses great admiration among Polish people. However, for many years their educational and artistic activities did not exist in the public consciousness. Art and education played a major role in General Anders' upbringing. He knew how important a role it plays in the nation. He was aware that the war would one day pass, but for Poland to be reborn, culture, language and creativity must survive as carriers of our history and values.’

The exhibition was enriched with exhibits from the District Museum of the Głubczyce Land, the Prudnik Region Museum, and our Museum. We are convinced that thanks to this exhibition you will look from a different angle at the Anders Army's combat trail. The exhibition is on display until 31 August, Monday to Friday, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. We warmly invite you to visit it!
