"Get to know Poland" – 2023 edition

Since 6 March, one can apply for government subsidies for trips within the "Get to know Poland” programme organised by the Minister of Education and Science, until the program is out of funds. Among the places recommended to be visited in the whole country by the MEiN, is our Museum again. It means that primary and secondary schools alike (all types) can apply for subsides to visit the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.

The Opole Province is represented by 38 institutions and places on the obligatory educational spots which have been classified according to four thematic paths - our Museum belongs to the "Following the Traces of the Polish Underground State" theme.

A total sum of PLN 50 million has been allocated to fund the programme in 2023. Administrative units responsible for supervising schools can obtain co-financing for trips up to 80% of the total cost.

For any information and assistance in organising a trip, contact the staff of the Department of Education and Exhibitions: tel. 77 434 34 75 or e-mail: .

Opole and Łambinowice are located in the vicinity of other cognitively interesting places, so planning a visit should not be difficult.

Details of the programme can be found on the Ministry's website.
