Today, at the Opole seat of the Museum, was held a general meeting of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.

The Board of the Association submitted a substantive report and financial statement of its activity in the year 2021. There was also presented a report of the Audit Committee for the previous year. The participants also listened to the information provided by the President of the Association, Dr. Iwona Konopnick, on the activities of the Board in 2022, and by the Director of the CMJW, Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, on the activities of the institution in 2021 and plans for 2022. A resolution was adopted to amend the Association's statutes in regard to a change to the procedure for convening general meetings. All resolutions, including those on the adoption of substantive and financial statements and as well as a vote of approval to the Management Board for 2021, were carried by vote.

We would like to remind you that the Association has been active since 2004. It co-organises, inter alia, conferences, meetings with authors, museum classes, exhibitions, competitions, and also supports the printing of publications, and engages in activities aimed at increasing and conservation the museum collections. The main purpose of the Association is to provide substantial and financial support to the Museum in the successful implantation of its statutory activities.
