Film premier about a British prosthesis maker

The last Monday of March, as scheduled, is the day of premier of the third episode of ... but that’s a different story now series. This time the protagonists of the film are British prisoners-of-war, and especially one of them, the "Prosthesis Maker" – Arthur Weston.

The storyline of the documentary is built around a precious collection of POW memorabilia donated, many years ago, to the Museum by Arthur Weston, and later, after his death, enriched with more photographs given by the granddaughter of his, Sara Weston. Thanks to that, the Museum collection was enriched with photographs documenting the life of British prisoners-of-war in Stalag VIII B Lamdorf and other Wehrmacht-run camps.

Dr Anna Wickiewicz, head of the Department of Education and Exhibitions, was involved in the acquisition of the collection by the CMJW. She will hear her voice in the film, as will Arthur Weston himself.

The series was prepared by us thanks the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage funding. It is produce, according to the concept of Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, by Sławomir Mielnik.

The next episode of the series is scheduled for April 25.
