Feast of the Polish Armed Forces and anniversary of the NID (National Institute of Cultural Heritage)

The approaching its end weekend was abundant with events related to celebrations of the Feast of Polish Armed Forces and the 60th anniversary of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage of  Poland. All the best to all celebrants.

This year’s celebrations, from 13 to 15 August, of the Armed Forces Day were held under the motto ‘Weekend with the Army’. The Ministry of National Defence, together with the Polish Army, prepared numerous state, patriotic and religious, cultural and entertainment events . In the city of Opole, the main celebrations were held on the Fields of Opole University of Technology. It commenced with a solemn roll call of the 10th Logistics Brigade, after which a military picnic was opened under the slogan 'Become a soldier. Voluntary military service'.

On the other hand, the Opole celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage were held at the Castle of Niemodlin. They were accompanied by events such as the presentation of the Przyszłym pokoleniom. 60 lat misji Narodowego Instytutu Dziedzictwa [For future generations. 60 years of the mission of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage] exhibition or the Opole EthnoFestival, during which participants had the opportunity to learn about regional traditions included on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Poland.
