Face to face with nature... Another meeting in Łambinowice is approaching

The June episode of the Łambinowice Museum Meetings is the last one before the upcoming holiday. It will take place in the site of national remembrance which is cared for by our institution. The meeting Face to face with nature... at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice, scheduled for 8 June (4 p.m.), is a great opportunity to take a guided tour with Maciej Aleksandrowicz.

The tour, for the need of which will be made available bicycles and the Melex vehicle, is going to start in front of the Museum building in Łambinowice at 4 Muzealna Street from where the participants will proceed to the Old POW Cemetery, and then to the area of the once neighbouring Stalag VIII B (344) Lamsdorf. It is there where is clearly visible the coexistence of history and nature, which create a reflective atmosphere of the place having, without any doubt, an influence on reflection of visitors.

An additional incentive to organise this botanical and zoological guided walk – with a naturalist (who is a sozologist by profession and an ornithologist by passion), always associated with issues of nature protection by his profession, a co-author of our publication Site Of National Remembrance in Łambinowice. The historic and natural path – is the fact that the year 2022 has been declared the Year of Botany by the Senate of the Republic of Poland.

To this another initiative of the Museum, related to very valued and respected by us nature, you are invited to by Dr. Iwona Konopnicka, President of the Associated of Friends of the CMJW, and Dr. Violetta Rezeler-Wasielewska, Director of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.
